RELEEL - Renewable Energy Legislation and Energy Efficiency Labelling

Invitation to final event and presentation of results of the RELEEL project

On Tuesday, 24th February 2009, Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship and Delegation of European Commission in Croatia will present the results of RELEEL project. Also, the Central Office for Development Strategy and Coordination of EU Funds will present possibilities to finance renewable energy sources (RES) and energy efficiency (EE) projects from EU programmes and funds. All interested as well as the members of the press and all media are hereby kindly invited to participate and report on the RELEEL project results and final event. The event will take place in “cinema” of Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship in Zagreb, Ulica grada Vukovara 78, on Tuesday 24th February 2009 starting at 13:00 o’clock.

The implementation of new project entitled "Approximation of EU Renewable Energy Legislation and Energy Efficiency Labelling" – RELEEL has started in September 2007. The project is financed by the European Commission through CARDS2004 programme (Community Assistance for Reconstruction, Development and Stabilization).

The project beneficiary is Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship (MoELE). Project will last 18 months, and its purpose is to analyse and give clear recommendations for further harmonisation of the Croatian legislation in the field of renewables and cogeneration with the relevant EU legislation. The project has also strong promotional and educational aspect, so there will be a number of organised workshops and seminars. Also, promotional materials will be produced in order to raise the awareness and knowledge about renewables and energy efficiency in Croatia.
